The Loman guys are great. The UFCW is not great.

The Power Source is getting lessons every day about how powerful they are using their own wits and resources and how hindered they are using the high-priced help at headquarters.

Y'know, the only thing that may save Brooke and Ivan in the next election is a merger with Local 247.

A quick visit to the "official" web-site ( AKA UFCW Fluff.com) will get you this quote from Frank Pozzobon: "...we're determined to do all we can to see that Safeway is held accountable for the serious disruption they brought into so many of our members lives."

In the UFCW Econo-Fight, this apparently does not apply to the Loman members.

Note the pictures at UFCW Fluff.com. You'll see the professionally made banners and signs the UFCW elite get for "their" purposes. After paying dues to the UFCW for over 20 years, why do these guys have to make up their own, on their own time, with their own resources?

I bet UFCW can hardly wait to get this over and get these guys off the UFCW membership list.

I'd much rather spend my first day taking my cue from the Loman guys themselves. Watching what they do, seeing for myself what works and what doesn't and taking it from there. I've been in this business for almost 2 decades and my knowledge of how everything works is very extensive. Yet when I start at a new company I don't go in the first day and act like I know everything. I listen, watch and learn how "they" opperate, do my best to adapt and only after I've gotten the hang of things do I offer suggestions and/or model behaviour. Why would I approach this any different?

So do I get a call or what? and give me more than one day ok, I'm busy as hell right now and might only be able to do certain days...like Sunday.

It seems to me that if the original photo has both the license number of the OFG "security lackey" and the car next to him are known, then this photo is evidence of damage being done to the unfortunate person parked next to him. How many times has this parking lot damage been recorded for all to see?

Another testament to OFG's concern for ethical behavior.
